Eleven cases of generalized dermatitis caused by DDS were observed from January 1961 through January 1965. 1. All cases took the drug without doctor's prescriptions. Among them, the six cases took the drug for the treatment of chronic eczema, two for tinea pedis, one for furuncle, and only remaining two for leprosy. 2. The doses taken ranged from looms to 200§· daily for the period of two to four weeks. 3. Time lapse before the onset of dermatitis after the administration of DDS was an average of 3.6weeks 4. The prodromal symptoms were dull headache, anorexia, mild fever, pain in the eyes, etc. 5. Nine out of all cases showed exfoliative dermatitis, one exudative dermatitis, and one papular dermatitis. 6. Enlargement of liver was noted in three cases, jaundice in two cases, anemia in six cases. and leucocytosis in six cases. |
