¿ä¾à Authors observed the morphological changes of Mycobacterium leprae from cultures in
Kirchner's fluid and phosphate buffer soleon on every 4th day during 32 days.
On first 4th day, degenernative change of cells were observed already by formation of
granules, elongation, swelling and degenerative changes of the cytoplasms.
These changes were developed to marked abnormal features and then gradually to
destructions of cells and losses of the characteristics of acid fastness which seems to be
in tendency of staining by methylene blue on later day and they gave the similar
results
on same two media containing antituberculous agents, diarninodiphenylsulfone (25§·
per §¢) and streptomycin (10¥ã. per §¢.)
