¿ä¾à Present study has been undertaken to determine the status of MDT and disease
activity on 89 outpatients with leprosy and the following results were obtained.
In MBL, triple therapy with DDS, RMP and R 663 was used in 71.4%, and in PML,
dual therapy with DDS and RMP was used in 78.7%. Altogether, dual therapy was the
most common modality of therapy.
Among dual therapy patients, 74.5% were under treatment over 5 clears, and among
triple therapy patients, 57.6% were under treatment from 2 to 5 years.
Nintey-four percent of all patients are still in treatment group requiring antileprosy
therapy and a few patients finished the antileprosy treatment.
