In order to manage leprosy control, Korean Leprosy Control Association was
constituted according to national strategy. Up to now leprosy control has been based on
the adequate treatment of patients detected as early as possible.
The introduction of multidrug therapy and the consequent reduction of the disease's
prevalence changed drastically leprosy situation in Korea. |
