The number of reconstructive surgery done in institute for leprosy research was
105(77.2%) of 136 cases operated from January 1, 1992 to December 31, 1992. The mean
age of patients was 58.0 years old and 6th decade in age distribution was most
common(39.0%). In local distribution, facial surgery was most common(67.6%). The
result of reconstructive surgery was excellent in terms of functional improvement. |
