M. leprae invade peripheral nerves, and induce polyneuropathy. Thus treatment of peripheral neuropathy and prevention of disability are important parts in Leprosy patients. Physical therapy helps control of pain and prevention of deformity in Leprosy-induced polyneuropathy. We experienced one case considered as irregularly relapsed polyneuropathy, and recovered with various types of physical therapy & drugs. |
