A 62-year old man was admitted to the department of psychiatry through the department of internal medicine, where the diagnosis of the patient was either somatization disorder or non-toxic goiter because of the generalized vibrating numbness of the skin without visible skin lesion. One month after the development of the vibrating numbness of the skin , reddish swelling of the fact and widespread infiltrated plaques appeared. Skin biopsy suggested reactional leprosy and careful past history revealed discontinuance of antileprous drug seven month previosely. The readministration of the antileprous drug showed good therapeutic response. |
