Dapsone (4,4'diaminodiphenylsulfone, DDS), which is a widely used antileprotic drug, is a oxidant drug with a hematologic toxicity, such as hemolysis, methemoglobinemia, and hemolytic anemia. We presented a case of dapsone induced hemolytic anemia developed in a 42-year-old female during antileprotic treatment containing dapsone, clofazimine, and rifampin. After the discontinuation of dapsone, the laboratory anemic findings were returned to normal. |
