¿ä¾à A special survey of 81 registered leprosy cases in Jeju island was done from
September 16 to 22, 1984 for the evaluation of the high rate of bacteriologically positive
cases.
The results were as follows.
1. The number of leprosy patients by type was changed from 9(I), 18(T), 3(B) and 51
(L) to 9(I), 14(T), 13(B) and 45(L) after the survey.
2. The percentage of bacteriologically positive cases was also changed from 63% to
34.8%
And we discussed the reasons for this discrepancy and their improvements.
