Forty-two contacis with leprosy patients including 33 household contacts and 9
professional contacts were studied for the measurements of leprosy antibody by
FLA-ABS test and also carried out the lepromin test, and the following results were
obtained.
1. Of 33 household contacts, FLA-ABS test was shown Positive in 26 cases (78.8%)
and all had shown lepromin positive.
2. All of nine professional contact s showed FLA-ABS test positive and lepromin
positive.
3. The titer of leprosy antibody was shown higher in the contact s of multibacillary
Patients than in contacts of paucibacillary cases.
4. It is considered that the cases of FLA-ABS test Positive and lepromin weakly
Positive should be checked regularly and do Prosper Prophylaxis if necessary. |
