LFT abrlormality was observed in 11 of 58 multibacillary leprosy patients treated with combinations of isoprodian daily adminstered and rifampicin£«clofazlmine monthly supervised The drug responsible for hepatotoxisity waIn probably prothionamide, although rifampicin may have been a risk factor. Due to the high incidence of heptotoxicity it is necessary to perform the liver function test monthly in the initial 1-year course of MDT containing prothionamide. |
