¿ä¾à 1. The results of FLA-ABS tests with the sera of leprosy patients were shown
positive in all of the LL and BL and in half of the BT and TT. The distribution of the
antibody titers showed a gradual decrease from the lepromatous to the tuberculoid end
of the spectrum.
2. The FLA-ABS test was positive in 52 of 76 (68.4%) household contacts of leprosy
patients. Among 40 of these household contacts who were tested with lepromin, 11
showed weakly positive Mitsuda reactions but were positive in the FLA-ABS test. With
the careful observation every year, clinically suspected non-lepromatous leprosy cases
from found from two of 11 cases with FLA-ABS positive and Lepromin weakly
positive.
