The greater part of the leprosy patients in the large city of Seoul are in the ages between early twenties and late forties and most of them are in extreme poverty. Furthermore, not a small percentage of them are bacteriologically positive. Accordingly, a special administrative system must be established to trace such patients. In particular, it is imerative that lepsory treatment organizations should endeavor to win patients trust and cooperation by delivering medical care of good quality. In this connection, it is absolutely necessary that leprosy out-patient clinic conduct examination of people in their families with cooperation from general hospitals, health centers and prationers clinics. |
