Sixteen newly detected patients suffering from lepromatous leprosy are being treated with rifampicin (600 mg daily for two weeks), thiambutosine(1 gm twice a day far sirs months) and DDS(100 mg daily continuously) . With six months observation, all of them have become significant improvement clinically and bacteriologically, and no side-effects were found from them so far. Eight relapsd patients with DDS resistance are being treated with rifainpicin(600 mg daily for one months), clofazimine (100 mg daily continuously) and thiambutcsine (1 gm twice a fay for six months). With six months observation, all of them have become improvement clinically and bacteriologically. Patients didn't complain of their skin discoloration due to clofazimine. Reaction of ENL and side-effects were not appeared from studied cases with combined chemotherapy during six months observation. |
